One Night with the Wealthy Rancher,

Summer Martindale is working as a social worker at a women’s shelter in her hometown and runs into a man from her past Darrius Franklin who not only saved her from a abusive former financee but the one man she fell in love with completely. The problem was she believed that he only bedded her on a bet or so she was told by his former partner when he worked in law enforcement. She left town and went to college and came back to her hometown to help women that are going through what she went through in her past. He lives there now and has become a wealthy rancher and has become a member of the Texas Cattlemen Club who also raised the funds for the shelter. He had left town when his brother was in a bad accident to tend to his brother and when he came back was told by his former partner who had a low opinion of women that Summer has left town with a wealthy older man because she was a gold digger. Darrius is still attracted to her but fights the feelings because he thinks she is a gold digger. When her ex gets out of jail and threatens her life again, he steps in to protect her like he did 7 years ago. You will have to read the book to find out how this ends and it will be well worth the read. Another great book by Brenda Jackson.
