Length: 0:26 Mins little background first. Steambot studies consist of six artists who have worked in the entertainment industry for visual rather than a decade. Customers include the very impressive client list of EA, Ubisoft, Disney, sky blue, Hasbro etc. for six artists, including Sebastian Larroudé (Rainart), Nicolas Ferrand (Viag), Thierry Doizeon (Barontieri), Dos Reis Viegas (Feerik) Joel, David Levy (Vyle), Patrick Desgreniers.
Exodyssey expected to be an art book from the list. To my surprise, he ’s not. He ’s series of paintings that I really believe the concept of a concept of history. Which means that they are created specifically for the book, for the artists themselves.
Here ’s an excerpt from the description:
Exodyssey is the name given to the long period of time and war-filled when the humans left for exo-planets to survive its own destruction. - End of extract
The book follows the journey of the main protagonist Harry, descendant of settlers who have left the earth. We will see what he sees as he travels and experience in alternative land, moon, Mars, space stations and discover new planets.
The art of the concept is based more on the atmosphere of these planets, architecture, vehicles and scenery. There are also some quite elaborate character designs, and toward the rear lifeforms, aliens (spoilers!). Guess that most are digital paintings as the subtitles put ‘t show, but some pieces appear to be very close to traditional means. Also included are some intricate 3D models that are painted over. The details are astounding.
There ’s not that much history in itself as the subtitles of each artist really speaks more about the scenes and concepts which the story. Overall, this book seems a very visual book to the development of the film, especially with the tons of paintings of the fund.
Without reading the text, no one would have thought that this book of 176 pages filled to the edge of art and concept, is created by only six artists. He ‘SA huge piece of hard work and great showcase of talent.
Oh, there are versions of hardcover and paperback for the book. Without doubt, I recommend getting the hardcover. Why not?
One final note is the 4 small advertisements that appear in the book. Promotes training DVD and should probably go to the back of the book to avoid breaking the flow.
There are more pictures of the book in my blog. Just visit my profile for the Amazon link.

If you love the concept art then you ‘referring probably going to love this book. I opened it and was a little in fear of it all. Its a really great book. The pages are filled with the atmosphere and design. Although the story isn ‘t quite completed the art speaks for itself really.
